Mike Costa Bio

Mike Costa has loved drawing and writing since childhood. He grew up in the small town of Mattapoisett by Cape Cod and fell in love with the natural beauty, wildlife and people there. After high school Mike graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in illustration and a minor in creative writing and went on to work for various publishers and production companies in New York and Los Angeles doing creative work in print, video and digital media. In 2006 while working in Hollywood he met his wife Ashly on Dancing with the Stars.  They fell in love and have 5 amazing children. Mike and Ashly currently run their own creative arts studio called Summit Studios where they do creative and performing arts production work of all kinds.  Mike also teaches art with the Visual Art Institute and recently published his first book Animals are Everywhere a whimsical counting and rhyming book for children that won a Gold Moonbeam award.
